Listen to the sound of the sea-lions, perched on log booms out in Fanny Bay, awaiting the annual herring run, and the constant sightings of eagles and various other bird life common to this area, drawn to the nearby bird sanctuary.

Visit Mount Washington Ski Resort, a 40-minute drive away, offering the finest in downhill and cross-country skiing. Mount Washington was chosen as the practice venue for the Nordic/Alpine Ski Teams participating in the Vancouver/Whistler 2010 Winter Olympics because of it's consistent record breaking snow falls.

Vancouver Island does indeed have it all, mountains, forests, beaches, and offering virtually every sport available hiking, climbing, golfing, sailing, skiing and many more, plus adventure such as whale watching and fishing trips.
