Maple floors and kitchen cabinetry contribute to the lightness and brightness, enhanced by the latest in granite counter tops, light fixtures, and Jacuzzi bathtub. Unsurpassed mountain and water vistas from every window all add to the pleasure of staying in this unique house, located two minutes from the beach, excellent for relaxing, swimming, kayaking, and water-skiing, and hiking and biking the local trails. Listen to the sound of the sea-lions, perched on log booms out in Fanny Bay, awaiting the annual herring run, and the constant sightings of eagles and various other bird life common to this area, drawn to the nearby bird sanctuary. Enjoy the peace and tranquility of Ships' Point, whilst revelling in luxury accommodations and idyllic surroundings, all within easy access of nearby villages and towns. Bicycles available for travelling the picturesque roads and lanes following the shoreline. Visit Mount Washington Ski Resort, a 40-minute drive away, offering the finest in downhill and cross-country skiing. Mount Washington was chosen as the practice venue for the Nordic/Alpine Ski Teams participating in the Vancouver/Whistler 2010 Winter Olympics because of it's consistent record breaking snow falls. Vancouver Island does indeed have it all, mountains, forests, beaches, and offering virtually every sport available hiking, climbing, golfing, sailing, skiing and many more, plus adventure such as whale watching and fishing trips.
