Welcome to the Hillsboro House, located in the World Famous town of Chemainus, where tourist come to enjoy the large hand painted murals that line the streets depicting British Columbia heritage and culture. Chemainus has many terrific restaurants, artisans, curio shops, and one of the best dinner theatres in the country.

From the moment you enter the property, you'll enjoy the casual relaxing feel of this bright spacious ocean view home. Relax in the privacy of the two ground level guest rooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom. Come upstairs and be blown away by the views of the ocean, the beach and the park right across the street.

Enjoy sitting on the deck and watching families and children playing in the park and kayakers, swimmers and boaters out in the water. Inside you can watch TV on the 42 plasma screen in the family room or sit quietly in the living room and read or chat to friends. If you choose to cook, you can barbeque on the front deck or use the efficient gas stove in the bright kitchen or throw something in the microwave. Bring groceries in from the side door right into the kitchen level. Drink filtered ice water anytime from the side by side fridge-freezer and sit at the cafe height table and watch the world go by. Also on the main floor is the master bedroom with ensuite and extra bathroom with sit down shower as well as laundry room den and formal dining room.

There are many activities to choose from in the area within walking distance such as the dinner theater, restaurants, shops, parks and a ferry to Thetis Island, where there is a charming pub for lunch. When the tide is out, walk to the lighthouse and examine purple starfish, sand dollars, oysters and barnacles or bring your boat and launch it in the park. Enjoy golfing on Mt. Brenton Golf Course, kayaking along the ocean shorelines, zip lining and bungy jumping in Nanaimo, yachting the Gulf Islands, wine tasting throughout Cowichan Valley vineyards, fly fishing on Fuller Lake and farmers markets throughout the region. The Nanaimo airport is 15 minutes away and Victoria is approximately 1 hour driving time.
