Nestled amongst slender firs, Eastwood majestically looks out over the tranquility of The Sooke Basin and it's bordering hills. It is over these hills that the sun gracefully emerges, rewarding those that rise with it, the perfect start to their day. Set on 4 1/2 acres, Eastwood sits in seclusion at the end of a rural East Sooke cul-de-sac, and is surrounded by pristine woodland. The large deck and private balconies are ideal for outside dining, or rest and relaxation, while allowing the senses to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. Eastwood is a three bedroom log home that is eclectically furnished in a way that compliments its rustic construction and rural setting. It has two full bathrooms, one of which has a Jacuzzi tub and large windows that open directly to the forest. The Great Room is fronted by an impressive assortment of windows that allow natural light to enrich the main living space and displays the vista beyond. As you enter East Sooke you are greeted with a sign that welcomes you to 'Nature's Gallery'. This truly is nature's gallery. East Sooke boasts the largest park on Southern Vancouver Island with over 3500 acres and 50 kilometers of trails from the top of the mountains to skirting the shoreline and offer breathtaking views of the snow capped Olympic Mountain Range and the straits of Juan de Fuca. Aside from the rugged shoreline and rainforest, there is an abundance of wildlife to be seen, including deer, bald eagles, raccoons, and if you are lucky pods of whales or maybe even a brown bear. Eastwood is only 40 minutes from downtown Victoria or 30 minutes from the West Shore shopping district. Activities available locally include hiking, kayaking, whale watching, fishing or good old sightseeing in the picturesque historical Victoria. |
